no love lost

I want to share with you the band that I cannot stop listening to. A colleague of mine from Aritzia has borrowed me a CD as we used to do in the old school times. And it was the best thing that she could have done!

The band is called joy division. This Manchester band was big in the late 70s and pioneered the post-punk movement with their sounds and style. In addition to their success, joy division could be found in the press because of the tragic story of the lead singer Ian Curtis who committed suicide in 1980. After Ian's death, the rest of banded created the band New Order achieving huge success in the 80s. If you are interested to know more about joy division and Ian's story, you should definitely see the movie Control.
